Your battery should last 10 – 12 hours on a full charge which is estimated on 90% stand by, 5% talk time & 5% receive.
The bars on the battery meter indicate as follows: 3 blocks: 8 – 12 hours, 2 blocks: 4 – 8 hours & 1 block: 0 – 4 hours.
The battery is estimated to last 1 to 1 ½ years based on the above charge and being used 5 days per week.
If you are around the 1 – 1 ½ year time period, you should replace your battery.
If your battery light on the charging tray is blinking red, you may have a defective battery. Please test the battery in another radio to assist in determining if you have a bad battery or a bad radio.
